| 摘要:随着我国人口老龄化加剧，医疗费用上涨，老年人沉重的医疗费用负担引起了社会的广泛关注，看病难、看病贵的现象愈演愈烈。为了寻求减轻老年人医疗负担的新路径，本文利用中国健康与养老追踪调查(CHARLS)数据，采用IV-Tobit模型，考察非正式照料对老年人医疗费用支出的影响。研究结果表明：非正式照料对老年人的门诊和住院费用分别具有显著的负向影响，由此可见，非正式照料能够在一定程度上减轻老年人的医疗费用负担。 |

| The effect and policy recommendations of informal care on medical expenditure of the elderly |

| Abstract:With the gradual aging of the population and rising medical expenditure, the heavy burden of medical expenditure to elderly people caused widespread concern in society. The phenomenon of “difficult and expensive to visit a doctor” intensified and has become more and more common. In order to explore a new way to reduce medical burden of the elderly, this paper analyses the effect of informal care on medical expenditure of the elderly in China by using the CHARLS Data and using IV-Tobit model. The result shows that informal care has a significantly negative effect on outpatient and inpatient expenditures. Therefore, informal care can reduce the burden of medical expenditure to a certain extent. |
